This is the best guacamole recipe! It’s so tasty and is bursting with flavor you won’t be able to get enough of. It’s so simple and only requires a few ingredients. Plus, those ingredients are all real food so it’s super healthy. This will become your favorite guacamole recipe. I promise. It’s so good!
Guacamole is a classic Mexican dish. And I love Mexican food! It’s the best food around next to Chocolate Chip Cookies. Seriously, just feed me tacos, fajitas, guacamole, and chocolate chip cookies and I’ll be happy for life.
Mexican food has always been one of my husband’s and my favorite foods. We both have Mexican grandmothers and I’m pretty sure it’s impossible to not love Mexican food with the way Mexican grandmothers cook! I remember eating my Grandma Linda’s authentic Mexican rice as a child and not much could compare. It’s still one of my favorite things to make. And eat. Of course.
My deep love of Mexican food inspired me to learn how to make the best guacamole recipe – and I think I’ve done it! I love this healthy guacamole – it’s truly divine! This recipe is going to be made on a weekly basis at my house! I hope you love it as much as I do!
The Best Guacamole Recipe Is Perfect for:
Anything! This guacamole is so tasty and compliments any Mexican dish perfectly. Anything from tacos to fajitas, Arroz con Pollo to rice and beans. It’s also perfect to dip those tasty tortilla chips in! Obviously. You may want to double the recipe because it’s so good it goes fast!
Your Favorite Mexican Dishes
This guacamole recipe is delicious with any of the other Mexican dishes on my blog:
- Slow Cooker Taco Verde Chicken Tacos
- Sheet Pan Steak Fajitas
- Roasted Corn and Sweet Potato Tacos
- Taco Sweet Potato
And literally every other Mexican dish you can think of. Mexican food is always good but it’s even better with the best guacamole recipe. Just throw this stuff on there! It’s soooo good.
This guacamole would also be a great replacement for the crema on potato tacos if you need a dairy-free or vegan alternative.
Snacks And Appetizers
Tortilla chips and guacamole is a great appetizer or snack choice for those with food allergies. Tortilla chips are gluten-free (always check ingredients for things like soy if needed) and most guacamole recipes, like this one, are free from other top food allergens! Guacamole and tortilla chips is a great way to include a food option that just about everybody can have!
However, some guacamole recipes contain dairy (such as shredded cheese) or eggs ( in mayonnaise used for creaminess). Eggs and dairy are two of the top 8 food allergens and are NOT allergy-friendly for many people with dietary restrictions. This recipe doesn’t have any mayonnaise or cheese in it – so it’s safe for anyone. Just another reason why I think it is the best guacamole recipe around.
If you need a snack or appetizer for game day, a BBQ, birthday party, or any other occasion then this guacamole with some tortilla chips (or even sweet potato fries!) is a great option! Everyone loves a good chip and dip. And no other dip is better than this guacamole – it truly is the best guacamole recipe!
It also makes a great late-night snack after the kiddos are in bed!
What You Need for the Best Guacamole Recipe
I like to make this guacamole in the Kitchen Aid because it mashes the avocados nice and smooth, making it extra creamy. However, if you don’t have one then it’s no big deal! You can just mash the avocados with a fork inside of a mixing bowl or even blend it in a blender until smooth!
A hand-held citrus juicer is also nice to have for juicing the lime. But once again, it’s not necessary. If you will be juicing the lime without one, roll the lime on the counter, pressing down gently, before cutting. This will make it easier to juice.
Here’s what you need:
- Roma tomato
- Lime, juiced
- Minced garlic
If you want you can also add:
- Minced jalapeno
It’s super good with jalapeno if you like a little spice! I also love it with onion, but my husband doesn’t. He can only tolerate onion in soups. He truly is such a party pooper.
How to Make The Best Guacamole Recipe
Begin by halving your avocados. Take out the seeds and then scoop the avocado out of the peel. Add it to a mixing bowl or the bowl of a stand mixer. I recommend using a stand mixer if you have one – you’ll get a creamier guacamole!
Juice your lime and add it and the spices to the avocados. If you are using a stand mixer, turn it on and mix until smooth and creamy. If you don’t have a stand mixer you can use an electric hand held mixer or you can mash it with a fork.
Chop your tomato. Gently stir it in to the rest of the guacamole. If you are adding cilantro, onion, or minced jalapeno, then this is the time to do that as well. I like to keep the tomato, onion, and jalapeno pieces pretty small. I like a smooth guacamole but this is totally personal preference! You can do whatever size pieces you want.
There you go! You’ve just made the best guacamole recipe! Enjoy it immensely. What is your favorite way to eat guacamole? On tacos? Fajitas? Or on top of a crunchy tortilla chip? I love it all! Let me know your favorite way to eat guacamole in the comments below!
