  • 2 unbaked gluten-free pie crusts
  • 8 cups peeled and sliced apples, about 10 apples
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup white sugar
  • 1/3 cup gluten-free all purpose flour blend
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 3/4 tsp nutmeg
  • 1/4 tsp allspice

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
  2. Roll our your pie crusts. Place one pie crust in the bottom of a deep dish pie plate. Reserve the other crust for the top.
  3. Mix together the sugars, flour, and spices. Stir in the apples. Mix until the apples are completely coated in the sugar mixture.
  4. Turn the apples into the pastry-lined pie plate. Cover the apples with the top crust. Seal the edges and cover with foil to prevent browning.
  5. Cut slits in the center of the top crust. Bake until the crust is golden brown and juice bubbles through the slits in the crust, about 60-75 minutes.
